The University’s 2024 Work-Related Injury and Illness Summaries are now available for download and posting. University units are required to download the summary for their location and post it from February 1 to April 30, 2025, in a location where personnel can easily access it.

The summaries show the number and type of work-related recordable injuries and illnesses that occurred in 2024. The overall UW incidence rates of recordable work-related injuries and illnesses over time continued to decrease in 2024 with the reduction in work-related COVID-19 illnesses.incidence rate graph 2024

OSHA recordable injuries and illnesses are defined as those that result in days away from work, restricted work or transfer to another job, medical treatment beyond first aid, loss of consciousness, a significant injury or illness diagnosed by a licensed health care professional, or death.
