The COVID-19 Response and Prevention Team in the UW Environmental Health & Safety Department (EH&S), in coordination with local and state public health agencies, responds to cases of COVID-19 in the UW community and acts to prevent further transmission.
The public health response activities include a risk assessment, guidance for self-isolation, notifications, and contact tracing.
The Public Restroom Guidance for COVID-19 Prevention is no longer in effect as of July 7, 2021.

Face coverings are strongly recommended indoors (in locations where they are not required) during the first two weeks of autumn quarter (starting September 28, 2022 through October 11, 2022).
Masks continue to be required in healthcare and clinical facilities, including on shuttles that serve healthcare facilities (read the complete list below).
