Radiation Safety Training for Research Radiation Producing Machines Online
Intended audience
This course is required for individuals using radiation producing machines in a research setting. This training is not intended for individuals operating x-ray devices used on humans (Medical Centers or School of Dentistry).
Description
This course teaches the production, controls, and machine types of Radiation Producing Machines (RPMs). It also reviews engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment. It closes with a discussion of registration, safe operating procedures, machine maintenance, and emergencies.
