Faster way to request routine chemical waste collection

Chemical waste generators will soon have a new, faster way to submit a Routine Chemical Waste Collection Request

Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) is in the process of adding QR codes on all routine waste carboys to make submitting a collection request quick and easy:

  1. Scan the QR code on the carboy.

  1. After you sign in with your UW NetID, you’ll be redirected to the Routine Chemical Waste Collection Request form.

  1. Complete required fields. Enter the Routine number from the carboy that is ready for collection.

Please submit a Routine Chemical Waste Collection Request when any carboy is 75% full.

It is important to submit a request once your first carboy is ready for collection. Don’t wait until all carboys are full because there will be a delay (up to 2 weeks) for EH&S to return empty carboys. This ensures you have adequate containers while we process and return your carboys.

Please reach out to the EH&S Environmental Programs office if you have questions.
