In October 2024, the U.S Food and Drug Agency (FDA) recalled multiple brands of frozen toaster waffles, frozen Belgian waffles, and frozen pancakes due to potential for Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
A detailed list of recalled products with photos is available at the FDA recall website. The recall list may be updated as the investigation progresses.
The recalled products can be identified by:
- Brand (e.g., Kodiak Cakes, Good & Gather, Nature’s Path, O Organics, Trader Joe’s);
- UPC Lot Code; and
- Best By date on the packaging.
Recalled products were shipped to distributors, grocery stores, restaurants and institutions nationwide. To date, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
University food establishments have been notified of the recalls and have checked their present inventories to ensure recalled products are not included in sale or service.
What to do:

Do not eat any recalled products. Discard recalled products or return unopened product to supplier for refund.

Check your home fridges and freezers for recalled products, carefully reviewing Lot Codes and Best By dates.

Consult your healthcare provider if you ate a recalled product and have symptoms of listeriosis.
