Intended audience

This course is required for University personnel who work with unsealed radioactive materials. This training is required initially, and Radiation Safety Refresher Online training is required annually.

Description

This course teaches the requirements to order, use, and store radioactive materials; review common inspection findings from radiation safety inspections; review the requirements for performing contamination surveys; and review the requirements for management of radioactive waste.

The Resources from this training are also available as a standalone PDF.

Personnel who only use uranium must take Radiation Safety for Uranium Use Online instead.

Personnel who only use sealed sources of radioactive material must take Radiation Safety for Sealed Source Use Online instead.
