Fire Extinguisher Training Online
Intended Audience
This course is required for University personnel whose job duties require them to use fire extinguishers to extinguish fires. Training is required initially, and retraining is required annually.
This course is recommended for University personnel who work with flammable, pyrophoric, reactive materials, as well as those in laboratory settings, kitchens, hot work environments, and shops.
Description
This course teaches hazards involved with incipient (early) stage firefighting and the general principles of fire extinguisher use. This is the prerequisite for the Fire Extinguisher Training - Hands-On course.
