Intended audience
This course is required for University personnel who are assigned work in permit-required confined spaces. Training is required initially. Personnel are required to take refresher training when there is a confined space hazard for which they have not already been trained, when there are deviations from procedures for permit-required confined space entry, or when their knowledge or use of safety procedures is inadequate.
Fall Protection training is a prerequisite for this course.
Description
This course teaches the knowledge and skills required to safely enter, exit, and perform work in permit-required confined spaces. The hands-on training emphasizes hazard assessment, planning, air monitoring, safety equipment, gear, and rescue.
