Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) recently updated their Job Safety and Health Law poster; a required workplace poster that informs personnel of their rights and responsibilities to a safe and healthy workplace. The updated poster reflects rule changes that increase worker protection from discrimination when filing a complaint.
University departments, units, and organizations are required to post the up-to-date version of the Job Safety and Health Law poster on bulletin boards, along with other required workplace posters, to ensure they are readily accessible to personnel.
Action: Please remove the older version of the Job Safety and Health Law poster (dated 9-2015) and replace it with a newer version dated 07-2022. The posters are available for download from the L&I website in English, Spanish and 13 additional languages.
